After months of trying to plan an evening with two good friends we finally managed to get a date in the diary. Knowing he was a keen photographer (Canon shooter) it wasn't long before the topic of photography and Olympus came up and after running through some of the advantages shooting with a mirrorless camera he was soon sold on the OM-D.
It was a great evening with plenty of laughter but possibly one or two sore heads in the morning (I blame it on the great selection of wine in the rack that caught my eye when we arrived. Here a few lifestyle images that I captured throughout the night.
Sometimes you just know that one bottle isn't going to be enough.

One of the main things that Bucko couldn't get over during the evening was the fact I was shooting handheld with no flash. Whilst I still do not take the OM-D's amazing sensor and IBIS for granted, there is no way I would want to be without it. Shooting handheld at 1/13 and 1/20 of a second and capturing sharp images is awesome.
Just for the fun the last image was captured shooting through a pair of 3D glasses. Childish but fun at the time...
Thanks to our great friends Bucko and Lisa for a wonderful evening. I am sure it will not be long before Olympus replaces Canon in their household, the only real decision is will it be the E-M5 or the E-M1.
Time for me to stop writing and head to Gatwick to catch a flight to Dublin. Can't wait to play with the Olympus OM-D when I get there.
