On Saturday I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with friend Gordon Laing camera labs for his South Bank photo walk. City photo walks are a great way to combine street and urban photography and although I have visited this area of London many times before I am constantly looking for new angles of one my favourite cities. There were a higher percentage of mirrorless shooters from previous photo walks I have attended which reinforces my feeling that I believe mirrorless is the future.
I still use my trusty Crumpler cupcake 5500 for street sessions with internal dimensions of only 25 x 17 x 13.5cm, I am able to fit my Olympus OM-D, Olympus 17mm, 45mm and 75mm along with a second body.
The images I have shared below were captured using all three lenses.
On top of the Tate modern, my personal favourite of the day. 17mm, ISO200, f/4 @ 1/2000.
I decided to play with the first two images of this blog with Lightroom presets, whilst I love the two B&W images captured with the OM-D, I equally loved the results Lightroom delivered below.
Another great day in London, thanks to Gordon for arranging the walk and I look forward to catching up with you in Brighton again soon.
