Living near the foot of the South Downs in Sussex I love heading up and over Ditchling Beacon around this time of year. I was hoping that by now the poppy fields would be out in full glory but there was only a few dots of red accross the fields. Being slightly disappointed I headed off to capture a little more of the south downs. With clouds bubbling all around me the broad tonal range soon disappeared to leave flat looking images. Not that this mattered as I enjoyed the challenge trying to create something using the inbuilt tools the OM-D offers me. I still believe the Olympus jpeg engine is one of the best on the market and I very rarely find myself using RAW files anymore.
Below are a few other images I captured whilst out and about in the Sussex countryside.
Poppy field or lack of.
