So today the Olympus 25mm f/1.8 landed on my doorstep and whilst I didn't have a great deal of spare time today I couldn't wait to attach it to the OM-D and head out. Walking North through Mayfair you come across Grosvenor Square Gardens in West London. Although the garden is fairly small, today it was host to "Summer in the Square". There were traditional games laid out throughout the garden, with a wonderful live jazz band and BBQ filling the air. Some may question why I feel the need to own the Olympus 25mm f/1.8 when I already own and love the amazing Olympus 17mm f/1.8.
Having previously owned the Panasonic 25mm f/1.4 "which is a great lens", I somehow missed the equivalent 50mm focal length. As like all the Olympus M43 lenses the new 25mm delivers the results that we come to expect from Olympus. Focusing is extremely quick and on initial comparison to the Panasonic 25mm the image sharpness is on par. Below are a few images that I captured during my short walk through the park on a beautiful English summer day.
